As an alternative ...
On Sunday, August 1, 2010, IC is offering an indoor track and field camp for HJ, TJ, LJ PV, Hurdles and Throws. I have spoken with the IC staff and there is plenty of room for additional athletes in the TJ, LJ and HJ.
Two concurrent jump sessions are offered for Long Jump and Triple Jump. Session 1 (LJ only) is 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and Session 2 (TJ or LJ) is 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM. A jumper can register for one or the other, or both. The fee for one session is $30.00 and the fee two sessions is $50.00. Illinois College track and field staff will be working with the long and triple jumpers.
For High Jump, to accommodate the Rochester camp athletes, IC is offering one expanded session this Sunday that will run from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Two jump pits will be set up and Coach Greg Tanner, IC High Jump Coach, and I will be running the high jump session. Unfortunately Cameron Wright will not be able to join us on Sunday. The fee for the 4-hour HJ session is $50.00.
